Daming Robotics (達明機器人) was established in 2024 as Quanta Computer's dedicated humanoid robotics subsidiary, formed to commercialize Taiwan's first domestically-developed humanoid robot. Quanta Group — best known as the world's largest notebook ODM with annual revenue exceeding $40 billion — controls Daming through its broader robotics portfolio that also includes Techman Robot, the leading Taiwanese cobot manufacturer.
Daming's flagship product is TM Xplore I, unveiled in September 2025 at the Taipei Automation Intelligence and Robot Show and revealed in detail at NVIDIA GTC 2026 in San Jose. The 160 cm wheeled humanoid combines a Techman-style upper body with NVIDIA Jetson Orin compute, Isaac GR00T VLA foundation model, and TMAI vision. Daming positions it as the first humanoid robot designed, engineered, and manufactured in Taiwan — a strategic milestone for Taiwan's robotics industry.
Commercial rollout begins in the second half of 2026 with mass production planned through 2027, targeting smart factories across Quanta's existing electronics manufacturing customer base. Daming's go-to-market thesis is execution at scale: where startups must build manufacturing infrastructure from scratch, Daming leverages Quanta's $40B+ supply chain, electronics expertise, and global customer relationships — making it one of the few humanoid companies anywhere that can credibly promise high-volume production from day one.
